This course equips you to respond effectively to anaphylactic events, including administering emergency medication. You’ll gain knowledge of the causes and physiological processes behind anaphylaxis, understand roles and responsibilities during an event, and identify necessary equipment and their functions. Crucially, the course trains you on safely administering auto-injectors (e.g., EpiPen) and equips you with the knowledge to manage, monitor, report, and maintain a safe environment during such emergencies. Additionally, you’ll learn about proper patient positioning, ongoing monitoring, and the importance of adhering to protocols, effectively communicating potential risks to caregivers.
